Coaching
Originally from the Hutt Valley, Matthew represented New Zealand on a number of occasions as an amateur around the world. In 1985 he received a full golf scholarship to attend the University of Oklahoma. In 1989 he was a member of the NCAA, division one winning team and also became a three time All American.
Turning professional in 1991, Matthew played on the Australasian, Canadian, Korn Ferry, European and Asian Tours. The pinnacle of his career was winning the New Zealand Open in 1998.
Matthew returned to New Zealand in 2016 after ten years coaching in the United States. He designed and built his own studio, situated at the south end of our driving range which includes the latest top tracer technology.
Matthew is highly respected in golf circles near and far. An astute analyst of the game, Matthew is often sought out by the very best players on tour for advice, he also dedicates his time to the development of up and coming players. Matthew has a real passion for sharing his love of the game to all - a highly skilled golf teacher and technician who has a proven track record of bringing out the best in all players under his tutelage.
