Paul Parlane

I’m a seasoned golf professional and coach with a career spanning over three decades. Growing up in Te Awamutu, New Zealand, I developed my game playing for the Waikato team before beginning my professional journey.

My career started at Te Awamutu Golf Club, before moving to Hamilton and then becoming Head Professional at Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown, where I worked alongside my mentor, John Griffin. In the late 1990s, I moved to the United States to pursue professional golf, competing on various tours including the Canadian Tour.

In the early 2000s, I transitioned into coaching and settled in Los Angeles, where I quickly established myself as a sought-after instructor. At Mountain Gate Country Club, I coached high-profile clients including Sylvester Stallone, Pete Sampras, and David Beckham, as well as working with elite golfers such as Mark O’Meara, David Frost, Phil Tataurangi, and Steve Alker.

Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed success as a player, winning professional tournaments across multiple tours, including the Perry Parker Invitational at Pebble Beach in 2021.

In 2022, I returned to New Zealand and established a thriving coaching business at The Golf Warehouse Ellerslie Driving Range. I now work with a wide range of clients, from beginners to experienced executives and competitive players looking to elevate their game.

With my extensive experience, I tailor my coaching approach to each individual, focusing on clear communication and helping golfers better understand their game. My motto, “making better golfers every day,” reflects my passion for coaching and commitment to helping every player improve.
